DESCRIPTION:Meravelha, the medieval music group, presents it’s first
  full-length concert, “Daydreams and Desires,”  featuring reperto
 ire pulled from some of the most delightful music of Medieval France, 
 with haunting melodic lines and eloquent lyrics from some of the best 
 poets and storytellers of the era, at the Loring-Greenough House, 12 S
 outh St, Jamaica Plain MA, as part of the Sunday Afternoon at the ‘G
 reenough House parlor concert series, on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 3
 :00 p.m.Meravelha was formed in 2012 for the purpose of bringing rarel
 y-performed medieval music to a wider audience through live performanc
 e. The name Meravelha translates as “marvel” or “wonder” and w
 as taken from the song “Non es meravelha s’eu chan,” by Bernard 
 de Ventadorn, a 12th century troubadour. Members of the group are Teri
  Kowiak, voice, Jaya Lakshminarayanan, voice and harp, Josh Schreiber 
 Shalem, vielle, Catherine Stein, voice, Tim Whipple, voice.  For more

 he ‘Greenough House series, in its 13th season, recreates the atmosp
 here of 18th and 19th century “musical afternoons” in the 1760 Lor
 ing-Greenough House, twice monthly, October to May. Tickets are availa

 ted on the Massachusetts and National Registers of Historic Places, is
  located at 12 South Street (at the Civil War Monument) in Jamaica Pla
 in, MA. It is owned and managed by the non-profit Jamaica Plain Tuesda
 y Club, Inc. as a historic house museum and site for art and music pre
