us about their name. It’s a play on words. The Spanish word for soun
d, sonidos, when broken apart becomes “son dos”, meaning “there
are two”. Duo Sonidos brings together the talents of violinist, Will
iam Knuth and guitarist, Adam Levin.  Based in Boston and Madrid, the
duo is at the vanguard of the guitar chamber music world.  With a mi
ssion of expanding guitar chamber music repertoire, Duo Sonidos is ded
icated to commissioning and inspiring new works for the duo combinatio
 n.  This commitment to creating a new body of chamber music has led t
o collaborations with some of the world’s most renowned composers, i
ncluding works by Jan Freidlin (Israel) and Eduardo Morales-Caso (Cuba
-Spain) on ALR Records label.  Previous and current projects include
commissioning new works from composers in Spain, Belgium, Israel, and
the United States as well as original arrangements made by the duo the
mselves.  Levin and Knuth have performed throughout the United States
and Europe and have been honored as US Fulbright Scholars in the fiel
d of music performance in Madrid, Spain and Vienna, Austria respective
ly. For more information, see  duosonidos.com.  Adam Levin, classica
