Hi guys, I will be coming on Monday too to help stop dominos. I created an event on facebook to share with my JP friends who arent on this website, I hope its ok Susan, I quoted what you wrote because I couldn't have written any more passiontately than you did. See you all on Monday.

There is literally NO NEED for a Dominos in JP!!! Zestos, JP House of Pizza, Bella Luna, Same Old Place, IDEAL Cafe, Planet Pizza, Nemo's Pizza, Dogwood... come on people... I am sure the landlord wants to rent this place, but maybe they shouldn't have hiked the rent so high on Pedal and Leaf that they needed to move in the first place. I feel like since the Milkyway and Bella Luna were forced out, we are treading on VERY thin ice with this part of JP... the comment below by William says the businesses seem "to be doing great"... but they truly are NOT...sales are down, costs are high. Money is tight, there is only so much to go around and our local restaurants WILL suffer and some may even be forced to close while corporate-backed Dominos waits out the storm and we find that we suddenly live in a strip mall. We can't allow corporate business to muscle out the local ones... we will lose JP as we know it!!! Come on! It's a Monday night! Lets all go speak our minds and grab a pint somewhere local after.

Hi Neighbors,
I hope we are not embarking on a new trend in our community. Small businesses such as Petal and Leaf and the Milky Way are being forced to the outskirts of town by greedy landlords hiking up rents, leaving Centre St. scarred with empty storefronts only to be filled by the likes of corporate America???
There is no use for Domino's pizza! We have a handful of Mom and Pop pizza joints all along center street who's pies will blow that frozen junk out of town anyway. Not to mention Zesto's is across the street from where they want to set up shop.
Whats next, an Olive Garden where the Milky Way used to be? Yuck!
