 istory of the 527-acre, 120-year-old jewel of the Emerald Necklace! Ju
 lie Arrison, local historian and author of Images of America: Franklin
  Park, will lead participants past old stone ruins, through woodlands,
  and across unique landscapes created by renowned park designer Freder
 ick Law Olmsted. The tour will begin with a history of the Franklin Pa
 rk Zoo, including the spooky old bear dens! Also included will be Elma
  Lewis' original Playhouse in the Park, where Duke Ellington played, a
 nd White Stadium, where acts such as Richard Pryor and Sly and the Fam
 ily Stone performed. Meet at the rear \"giraffe\" entrance to the Zoo.
