DESCRIPTION:The JP Progressives is a group of active Jamaica Plain res
 idents working together to organize our community around progressive v
 alues. Formed in March 2009, we’re working to build progressive elec
 toral power, mobilize around issues of importance, build the progressi
 ve community, and engage the greater Jamaica Plain community in the de
 mocratic process.\n\nOur organization is providing candidates for Mayo
 r and At-Large City Councilor the opportunity to reach out to progress
 ives in Jamaica Plain (and throughout the city) by being a part of the
  Progressive Voter Guide. We will be distributing thousands of these v
 oter guides in Jamaica Plain by going door-to-door and handing them ou
 t at community events. The Progressive Voter Guide will also be availa
 ble online and promoted heavily through social and traditional media.\
 n\nThat voter guide will be based on the responses to a questionnaire,
  and a series of public conversations with the candidates. Those conve
 rsations will allow us to follow up on the questionaire, as well as pr
 ovide us an opportunity to have the public ask questions of each candi
 date. We are anticipating each conversation will take about 20-30 minu
 tes.\n\nYou are invited to participate in those conversations, which a
 re taking place on three upcoming evenings:\n\nJuly 29th 6:30pm to 9:3
 0pm at Doyles, 3484 Washington Street\n\nAugust 3rd 6:30pm to 9:30pm a

 hese conversations. It's a great chance to get to know each candidate 
 a little more intimately, and a great way for Jamaica Plain to ensure
