DESCRIPTION:On April 7, 2013, at 6:00 p.m.,Orlando Cela, flute, will p
 resent a concert of classic favorites for unaccompanied solo flutes - 
 yes, some bass flute things too - by Johann Sebastian Bach, Arthur Hon
 egger, José Elizondo, Georg Philip Telemann, and a world premiere by 
 Bulgarian composer Alexandra Fol, at the historic Loring-Greenough Hou
 se, 12 South Street, Jamaica Plain MA, as part of the Sunday Afternoon
  at the ‘Greenough House parlor concert series. Meet Orlando at “h
 igh tea” following the program.The Sunday Afternoon at the ‘Greeno
 ugh House series recreates the atmosphere of 18th and 19th century “
 musical afternoons” in the 1760 Loring-Greenough House, twice monthl
 y, October to May. Tickets are available at the door: donation $15 ($1
 0 seniors, students and JPTC members). Space is limited; reservations

 ando Cela started playing flute at a very early age in his native Vene
 zuela. He pursued flute studies at DePauw University, in Vienna Hochsc
 hule for Musik und Darstellende Kunst, and at the New England Conserva
 tory. Orlando is the music director of Willow Flute Ensemble and many 
 other chamber ensembles. He has served as faculty in UMass Dartmouth, 
 SUNY Fredonia and College of the Holy Cross. Orlando’s recordings ca
 n be found in iTunes, CDBaby and Amazon, and include music from all ge
 nres and time periods.Built in 1760, the Loring-Greenough House, a loc
 al landmark listed on the Massachusetts and National Registers of Hist
 oric Places, is located at 12 South Street (at the Civil War Monument)
  in Jamaica Plain, MA. It is owned and managed by the non-profit Jamai
 ca Plain Tuesday Club, Inc. as a historic house museum and site for ar
 t and music presentations. The Loring-Greenough House is wheelchair ac
