SUMMARY:Save the Boston Public Library!!
DESCRIPTION:\"The love of literature, of language, of the mystery of t
he mind and heart showing themselves in the minute, strange, and unexp
ected combinations of letters and words, in the blackest coldest print
---the love which [we have] hidden as if it were illicit and dangerous
, [we begin] to display, tentatively at first, and then boldly, and th
en proudly.\" - John Williams\n\nThis event is for ALL BPL Libraries a
nd is being held at the Egleston Square Branch Library.\n\nThe branch
is hosting this event because many of those affected in our neighborho
od can't take off in the middle of the day to attend a trustee's meeti
ng, but we can bring ourselves and the city together for one hour and
let our officials know what the libraries mean to us.\n\nWe need our b
ranch and we know that you need yours too. This is why we want users o
f all branches to meet with us this Saturday and protest these closing
 s. We hereby invite you to \"The Great Egleston Read-In\" (and invite
you to steal this text to invite others as well):\n\nCome to the Egles
ton Square Branch at 2044 Columbus Ave. on Saturday March 13th from 12
:00PM - 1:00PM and show your support by reading with us at The Great E
gleston Read-In.\n\nBring a book (or check one out from us), bring sig
ns, bring your voice. Help us fill the library and line Columbus Avenu
e with readers.\n\nWe will give away 4 signed first-editions of Steve
Almond's new book to a representative from the 3 branches that travel
the farthest and the branch with the most supporters (not counting Egl
eston!).\n\nWe will have city representatives, state representatives,
and members of the community voicing their support of the library, but
we need ALL OF YOU to send the message that the public will not let i
ts libraries be taken away from ANY neighborhood ANYWHERE in Boston.\n
\nYou can send our message without saying a word and together we can s
ave our libraries!\n\nOrganized by the Friends of Egleston Square Libr
ary\n\nFor those traveling to the branch for the first time, the libra
ry is served by the Stony Brook T-Station, and the #22, #29, #42, and
#44 Bus Routes.\n\nRSVP to our Facebook Event: http://www.facebook.com
/event.php?invites&eid=343735720546\n\nDo not be afraid that we will r
un out of space, we have Franklin Park across the street if we need it
; Do not count on the person next to speak up for you, speak up for yo
 urself!!\n\nFor more information visit http://neighborsforneighbors.or
