  schmoozing skills, is this month's facilitator.\n\nArt of the Schmooz
 e\nForming and cultivating relationships is at the heart of any succes
 sful fundraising campaign, volunteer drive, committee effort or commun
 ity building activity. This workshop will give you the confidence to p
 ursue your personal goals - from the importance of shaking hands and m
 aking eye contact, to tips on the best opening line and how to exit a 
 conversation gracefully. An amazing side benefit is that you'll learn 
 how to create a welcoming community space by keeping an eye out for ou
 tliers, considering yourself a host instead of a guest and knowing how
  to compliment someone without \"othering\" them.\n \nABOUT OUR PRESE
 NTER\nRobbie Samuels has extensive community organizing, events logist
 ics and fundraising experience. In 2006 he co-founded Socializing for 
 Justice to build a cross-issue progressive community, network and move
 ment in Boston based on the philosophy of abundance. He is the Special
  Events Manager at Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD), an adju
 nct professor at Lesley College teaching “Activism and Change in Com
 munities”, and a Fellow at the New Leaders Council Institute. On the
  side he offers trainings and consultation to non-profit boards, ventu
