 My sound is a resurrection of traditional and ’60s revivalist folk m
 usic,” says MacDonald (CFA’10). “People tell me what I’m doing
  is different, but I think they just aren’t familiar with my sources
 .” Beyond his musical influences, the visual arts major finds inspir
 ation in archaic language and imagery or sometimes a single phrase com
 es to mind. “Art has been with me forever,” he says, “and it was
  the most practical career pathway for me.” With an East Coast tour 
 and shows at BU Central, the Cantab Lounge, and T. T. the Bear’s Pla
 ce already under his belt, MacDonald plans to give music “one big tr
