DESCRIPTION:After the economic crisis, more people are bartering with 
 friends and neighbors and forming time banks to share goods and servic
 es locally. Come meet local members of the Time Trade Circle, a Boston
 -area organization with more than 700 members, to learn how you can st
 art participating in this locally-grown and sustainable economy. There
  are more than 700 members in the Greater Boston Area.\nThis orientati
 on meeting will be followed by a potluck get-together at 5:00 PM, incl
 uding JP folks who are already members of the Time Trade Circle. If yo
 u wish to stay for the potluck, please bring a dish to share.\n \nWha
 t is a time bank?\nA time bank is an organization where members have a
  bank account of time, and exchange time-based services with other mem
 bers.  It’s a pool of members, and operates like a circle, not a on
 e-to-one swap or barter.  In a time bank, for example, Lara makes a c
 ake for Aldo, Keren gives skiing lessons to David, Dianne gives Carol 
 ride to the airport, Carol paints a painting for Louisa, Krystyna lend
 s her vacation house to Alice, etc. You get time credit for the servic
 es you provide, and you can spend that time on services that other mem
 bers offer. The Time Trade Circle lets us share our own skills and get
