 music for guitar by Leo Brouwer, J.S. Bach and M. M. Ponce, inaugurati
 ng the 14th season of the Sunday Afternoon at the ‘Greenough House P
 arlor Concert Series, on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at the
  historic Loring-Greenough House, 12 South Street, Jamaica Plain.Piece
 s in the program include Sonatina Meridional (1939) by Manuel M. Ponce
  (1882-1948), a renown Mexican composer, an arrangement for guitar of 
 Prelude, Fugue and Allegro of J. S. Bach (1685-1750), and Sonata (1990
 ) by Cuban composer, conductor and guitarist Leo Brouwer (b. 1939).Aft
 ernoon tea follows the programThe Sunday Afternoon at the ‘Greenough
  House series recreates the atmosphere of 18th and 19th century “mus
 ical afternoons” in the 1760 Loring-Greenough House, twice monthly, 
 October to May. Tickets are available at the door: donation $15 ($10 s

  enchanting technique, Zaira Meneses has delighted audiences internati
 onally in a wide variety of programs ranging from solo recitals to cha
 mber music to highly acclaimed performances as soloist with orchestra.
   Zaira Meneses is Director of Community Outreach and Student Affairs
  for the international festival Boston GuitarFest and Artistic Directo
 r of the new cross disciplinary cultural initiative “Guitar and Frie
 nds” for which she was awarded a special grant by the Albert Augusti
 ne Foundation. Ms. Meneses is currently a faculty member at the New En
 gland Conservatory, the School of Continuing Education, the Preparator
 y School, and a special seminar in performance and entrepreneurial tec
 hniques.Built in 1760, the Loring-Greenough House, a local landmark li
 sted on the Massachusetts and National Registers of Historic Places, i
 s located at 12 South Street (at the Civil War Monument) in Jamaica Pl
 ain, MA. It is owned and managed by the non-profit Jamaica Plain Tuesd
 ay Club, Inc. as a historic house museum and site for art and music pr
 esentations. The Loring-Greenough House is wheelchair accessible. For
