Solstice Stroll
The light is returning! Sunday the 21st is the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. Spontaneous Celebrations is encouraging folks to take a stroll with winter wonder lanterns around their neighborhood just after dark that night. The parade starts and ends at your front door and follows the route you choose. Let the simple light from your lantern be a reminder that the days now start growing and the earth will wake up once again in spring. We also encourage folks to make welcome signs if they would like to offer something to their neighbors, i.e., cookies, hot cider, warmth, a song, a story, etc.

Spontaneous Celebrations Street Beat
Is a collaboration of youth from the Festival Arts After School Program, La Pinata, The Hernandez School, The Manning School and members of the JP/Rox community (you), young and old, to perform dancing and stilt walking to live, energetic Afro-Caribbean and Brazilian rhythms.

Drummers and Dancers from the Spontaneous community familiar with these styles are invited to join us!!
