Introducing the E-13/Jamaica Plain Neighbors Network

Neighbors,



Last night we (BPD - my day job) announced the E-13/Jamaica Plain Neighbors Network. This is the network where you can meet your neighbors in your actual neighborhood, get educated and support from BPD to organize and mobilize your neighbors to address crime, quality of life, as well as coordinate fun neighborhood happenings like pot lucks, yard sales, and block parties.

Introducing the Neighbors for Neighbors Organizing Network

In response to the Neighbors for Neighbors 2008 Survey where over 50% of those who took the survey said they wanted more activity-based events and groups, we created the Jamaica Plain Organizing Network.



Unlike our last organizing model comprised of our blog, google groups, and hope, we created a one-stop shop for residents of Jamaica Plain to create, get members, organize, and communicate what they are working on to make a difference.
