Boston Police Seeking Info on Missing Person (Amber Devoe) from Jamaica Plain

On June 27, 2011 at 8:00pm, an officer from District E-13 in Jamaica Plain took a missing person report regarding 28 year old Amber Devoe of Jamaica Plain. According to a friend, Amber has been missing since June 21, 2011. The friend further stated that she had contact with the victim’s friends and family, but, according to the friend, no one had spoken to or heard from the victim.

What are your suggestions on dealing trauma from violence?

Violence is traumatic and it's important that we take really good care of ourselves and each other at a times like this. At the community reflection meeting following the shooting on Boylston Street last month, we learned the importance of drinking lots of water and avoiding stimulants and depressants like sugar, caffeine, and alcohol. Vigil and Community Healing Circle, Tonight, 7pm, 195 Boylston Street

Neighbors,



On Saturday 10/23, two of our Neighbors were shot on Boylston Street. Tonight, at 7 pm there will be a Vigil and Community Healing Circle. The gathering will commence at 195 Boylston Street then proceed to Spontaneous Celebrations on Danforth Street around 8 pm.

Assaults in the South West Corridor Park. Time to organize!

In today's (May 15, 2009) Jamaica Plain Gazette, there is an in-depth article titled "Stabbing raises park fears."



In summary, there have been 2 assaults in the South West Corridor Park at 135 Carolina Ave on March 13, 2009 and another on April 21, 2009 by Anson street. Please see the Gazette for details. Both assaults appear to be random and unprovoked.
