In addition to joining CERT, perhaps you could encourage folks to join the Boston MRC (Medical Reserve Corps) at <a href="http://www.BostonMRC.org" target="_blank">www.BostonMRC.org</a>. They offer a ton of great (and free) trainings, and utilize volunteers in exercises and emergency responses in and around Boston. Congratulations on your new position!</p>
