Event Description

In observance of Irish Heritage Month, when we all are “honorary Irish,” singer Ruth Harcovitz will perform many Irish musical favorites, including well-known ballads of Thomas Moore, songs made famous by John McCormack, and a special Irish sing-along.

Free and open to everyone, with a reception following.

Soprano Ruth Harcovitz is well known throughout the region for her charm, beautiful voice, and warm personality. She has appeared as soloist with various opera companies, orchestras, and choral groups in the US and abroad. A New England Conservatory graduate, Harcovitz’s credentials include graduate studies at the Vienna Academy of Music. Upon her return to the US, she was engaged by the Santa Fe Opera, The Opera Company of Boston, and Opera New England. She is the recipient of hundreds of local cultural council grants.
