NEW PROFIT’S MISSION AND GOALS

New Profit is a nonprofit venture philanthropy fund that exists to help
visionary social entrepreneurs and their organizations bring about widespread
and transformative impact on critical social problems. We work to fulfill this
mission with two approaches: 1) providing multi-year financial and strategic
support to selected social entrepreneurs and their organizations, and 2)
helping to build an environment that enables all social entrepreneurs and their
organizations to create widespread, transformative impact. New Profit believes

optimism to help solve our most pressing social problems.

With the support of individual investors and our signature partner, Monitor
Group, New Profit works with a portfolio of social entrepreneurs tackling
persistent social problems in education, workforce development, public health,
and other areas. In addition, we bring together social innovators from across
sectors at the annual Gathering of Leaders, and also drive other initiatives to
release the potential of social entrepreneurship. Included among these is
America Forward, a non-partisan initiative to connect social sector innovators
and their partners with policymakers, legislators, and thought leaders to
identify ways to combine public and private resources with the effectiveness
and impact of America’s social entrepreneurs.

POSITION OVERVIEW
New Profit is at an exciting time in its evolution. Building on our strong
track record of results, we rely on the talent, flexibility, and commitment of
our team to deliver on the ground-breaking work of our mission.

As we grow our organization and team, we increasingly rely on our internal
systems to improve efficiency and provide accurate and timely information to
our staff and stakeholders. The Operations Associate will play a key role in
coordinating and managing New Profit’s organizational systems and functions
including finance, human resources, technology, and administration, and as
such, is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of New
Profit. He/she is also responsible for ensuring that our processes and systems
continue to adapt and improve as the organization evolves and matures. In this
role, the Operations Associate will gain valuable experience, and build skills
and knowledge in a variety of functional areas within nonprofit management.

Additionally, the Operations Associate will serve as an overall resource to our
dynamic staff, including welcoming and orienting new members of the team,
assisting with the coordination of all staff meetings and events, and acting as
the main point of contact for questions related to operations and human
resources.

To achieve these objectives, the Operations Associate will work closely with an
internal team consisting of senior operations staff, as well as external
stakeholders and vendors, including representatives from Monitor Group and
portfolio organizations. He/she will also have access to the broader New
Profit network, including leaders and organizations working across all sectors.
