Does anyone know anything about the garbage removal etiquette? We have had our barrels out for over a week and it hasn't been picked up. I know about the delay when there is a holiday, but I think it has to do with the snow. They should have come again today, but didn't. Does this happen often? Thanks.

They usually post notices on the website if there's a delay or anything: http://www.cityofboston.gov/publicworks/recyclingandsanitation/
You can also report missed pickups there if they just aren't coming.
