The Boston Natural Areas Network's (BNAN) Produce to Pantries program takes donations of produce from community gardens and brings them to local food pantries to address the need for greater access to healthy, fresh food throughout the Greater Boston area.  Right now we are looking a volunteer driver for  who would have access to a car and would be able to pick up produce from a few community gardens throughout Jamaica Plain every Tuesday morning from July 17 to October 31.  Drivers would then take the produce to the food pantry at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Uphams Corner, Dorchester.  We are also looking for substitute drivers because some of our permanent drivers will be on vacation at various points during the summer.  Drivers will receive mileage compensation for gas.  If you are interested in this position or would like some more information, please contact the BNAN office at (617) 542-7696 or karen@bostonnatural.org.  Also, check out the attached flyer for some more details!
