Just want our Hubbard St. neighbors to be on the look out. Walking to the T this morning, we saw a man suspiciously looking in to a few yards. As we approached (I had my 2 yr old walking with me), the man opened the gate to the blue house towards the Lamartine end (right hand side, home to a large brown fluffy dog) of the street and started breaking the ice on the bottom step, to appear as though he lived there. He went so far as to close the storm door and take some salt from a kitty litter container and sprinkle on the steps. I would like to think he's a friend of the homeowner, but as I mentioned, he looked awfully suspicious. He was quite tall, maybe in his late 50's/early 60's, wearing a navy blue knit cap and large baggy parka, and, I believe, brown pants. Another neighbor walked through Hubbard behind us with his large dog (maybe a good deterrent?) and the man in question left Hubbard and crossed the corridor, passing the basketball courts and proceeded down the walk to the right to reach Amory. I stopped our neighbor with his dog after the man was out of sight to ask if he recognized him, and he agreed that it was a bit strange. Sorry for the delayed post, but this happened about 9:00am today.
