Do stuff with and for your neighbors
interested in your neighborhood
Hi Parkside-
I currently rent in a very nice neighborhood near Forest Hills, but am shopping around for condos to buy. I have seen a couple in your area that I like, so am trying to get a sense of what the neighborhood is like. What do you guys like about your neighborhood? Dislike? Is there a sense of community (ie do neighbors know each other)? What is your sense of safety (or lack thereof)?
About me - I have a dog so walk around my neighborhood a lot. I am a gardener, would be part of a neighborhood association, generally interested in being "plugged in" to what's around me. I want to be able to walk to and from the T safely, even at night.
Any thoughts are appreciated. THANK YOU!

I am a realtor and also live in the area as well so I'd be happy to tell you more; if you're not committed to a buyer's agent, I would love a chance to talk to you with no obligation.
Regardless, I like the area a lot and the convenience of being near the T and walking distance to Franklin Park and Centre St; as far as neighbors, I would say it varies on the streets, mostly friendly though and as far as safety, I can't answer that because of fair housing law.

I live on Montebello and it is a great neighborhood! Wonderful access to franklin park for walking the dog and I know most of my neighbors. I walk/run regularly at all times of day. Email me with any further questions!
