How To

HOW TO JOIN:

  1. Sign up: http://neighborsforneighbors.org/
  2. Go to 
  3. Click "Sign Up" on the upper right hand side
  4. Follow prompts
How to change your name:
  1. Click on "Settings" (beneath "Friends" and above "Quick Add") on the upper right hand side of the screen.
  2. In the full name field make desired changed. Please use at minimum your real first name and last initial. 
  3. Choose save
HOW TO SEARCH:

General Search:
  1. Using the search box (top right) – type what you’re looking for.
  2. Scrolling though pages 1, 2, 3,
Member Advanced Search:
  1. Go to the members tab
  2. You can search by name or you can do an Advanced Search.
  3. To do an advanced search click on Advanced Search
  4. For select from the drop down, add a check, or type in the information your looking for
  5. Click Search

HOW TO ADD CONTENT:

Adding an Annoucement: (Information for the Entire Community)
  1. Go to the “Blogs” tab.
  2. Click on “+ Add blog post” link near upper right hand corner of the window.
  3. Fill in the subject
  4. Fill in the body
  5. Add tags (keywords) to help people search for it
  6. Choose “Publish Post”

Adding a Group discussion:
  1. Go to the “Groups” tab and choose the group of interest.
  2. Click on “+ Add a discussion” under the group discussions. 
  3. Fill in the subject
  4. Fill in the body
  5. Add tags (keywords) to help people search for it
  6. Choose “Add Discussion”

Adding an Event: 
  1. Go to the “Events” tab.
  2. Click on “+ Add an Event” link near upper right hand corner of the window.
  3. Fill in the fields
  4. Add a picture if you have one
  5. Choose “Add Event”

Adding a Comment to an Announcement, Group Discussion or Event:
  1. Select the blog post, group discussion or event of interest
  2. In the comment box, type your comment and choose "add reply/comment"
  3. To add embed multimedia such as a video in a comment, copy the embed code and paste it in the comment box and choose "add reply/comment".
Adding a Photo to the network:
  1. Go to the "Photo” tab.
  2. Click on “+ Add a Photo” link near upper right hand corner of the window
  3. To add a video from your hard drive select "Click to Add Videos"
  4. To add a photo from Flickr or from your mobile phone or email scroll down and click "Add Photo From Flickr" or "Add Photo from Phone of Email"
  5. Follow prompts
Adding a Video to the network:
  1. Go to the "Video” tab.
  2. Click on “+ Add a Video” link near upper right hand corner of the window
  3. To add a video from your hard drive select "Click to Add Videos"
  4. To add a video from Youtube, Vimeo, or Hulu scroll down and click "Add Videos From YouTube, Hulu or Vimeo"
  5. Follow prompts
Adding a Video from the network to a comment or reply
  1. Locate the video you want to embed
  2. Click on "Select Embed Code"
  3. Select the announcement or group discussion where you want to leave a comment
  4. In the comment area, type your message and then paste in the embed code. The embed code with look like code, that is because that is what it is, once you publish the comment, it will appear as a video. 
  5. Choose "Add comment" if for a blog post or "Add reply" if for a discussion to publish
How to Upload an Attachment:
  1. Click on the attachement icon (next to the camera icon) above the text composition box
  2. Select the "Choose file" button
  3. Browse to, and then, select the desired file on your hard drive
  4. Choose "Add"

Hey, I forgot to respond. My bad. Even worse, there is not a way to do this for blogger. Only for Wordpress. Bummer.

Is there an email address i can put in my blogger settings that will forward my blog posts directly to the nfn blog page?
