Shovel Snow for the Elderly this Winter! Looking for some exercise? Enjoy helping elders? Want to help keep our community?s sidewalks safe? Become a volunteer Snow Shoveler for homebound elders! Ethos seeks volunteer Snow Shovelers to be put on a list that will be distributed to elders in the West Roxbury, Jamaica Plain and Roslindale areas. Elders will call volunteers directly in the event of snow. Volunteers have the right to accept or decline each request. In addition to a can-do attitude, big heart and strong body, volunteers must provide their own shoveling equipment and transportation. Call Janice at 617-477-6616.
