Event Description
Mayor Menino will speak at the second annual Caliente, which celebrates Latin music and dance. The program is headlined by salsa great Frankie Negron, one of the most popular acts currently on the Latin music circuit. The festival will also feature performances by Salvadoran salsero Alex Deras, and local artists and organizations including La Piñata (FROM JP!!), a unique program that teaches Boston youth Latin American cultural performing arts; in turn they share these with the community through interactive and educational presentations.
