We’ll review the basics of how your bike works to help you become a more confident cyclist. Reserve your spot by calling 617-524-BIKE (2453) or emailing Info@FerrisWheelsBikeShop.com. FREE.
DETAILS: This class is a primer for those who either haven't ridden their bikes in a while or those who feel unfamiliar with the working parts of the bike. We will discuss different types of bikes and bike anatomy (What's that pushy thing that moves your chain and how does it work? What is a bottom bracket? Where is the chain stay?), shifting and braking issues, basic bike maintenance like chain lubrication and tire inflation, and depending on interest we may discuss commuting, rules of the road, and cargo options. The lecture and discussion classes run about an hour and a half to two hours, depending on interest.
