Show your support for Playworks by running or volunteering at our First Ever 5K Run for Recess!

Playworks (formerly Sports4Kids) is a national nonprofit organization, with its Metro-Boston office located in Jamaica Plain. The Playworks program supports learning in low-income elementary schools by providing safe, healthy and inclusive play and physical activity to schools at recess and throughout the entire school day.

A $20 registration fee will get you a spot in the race, a super-sweet T-shirt, an awesome goody bag, admission to a stellar after-party (with great appetizers and greater company) at Doyle's, and the satisfaction of knowing that you've helped to improve the school day for 7,000 kids in local, urban public schools.

Starting Line: Giraffe Entrance to Franklin Park Zoo
1 Mile Fun Run: 10 AM
5K Cross Country Race: 10:30 AM
After-party at Doyle's: 12-2
