The R.A.D. Systems of Self-Defense are the official self-defense training programs of the National Academy of Defense Education. The (RAD) Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with risk awareness, risk reduction, risk recognition, and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
R.A.D. is not a Martial Arts program.
The Boston Police Area E-13 Community Service Office offers a R.A.D. course using certified RAD instructors. The course is free of charge. If interested in taking the course, please contact P.O. NEXT COURSE INFORMATION
The dates are Tuesday May 26th, Thursday May 28th, Monday June 1st and Wednesday June 3rd. The time each day is from 6pm to 8:30pm. The location is Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall at 45 Brookside St, Jamaica Plain. The Stony Brook T Station is within walking distance. Parking is available.
