The Footlight Club in Jamaica Plain will perform the rock opera "Rent" starting April 1 and running through April 16. Based on Puccini’s opera "La boheme," RENT tells the story of young artists and musicians struggling under the black cloud of HIV/AIDS while living in Manhattan’s East Village in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Ticket prices range from $19-$22. Evening and matinee performances are scheduled. For tickets and detailed show information, please visit www.footlight.org.
