The Slutcracker is a ribald burlesque parody of E.T.A. Hoffman's classic holiday story, /The Nutcracker/. Conceived and directed by Vanessa White, aka “Sugar Dish” of the award-winning Babes in Boinkland burlesque troupe, /The Slutcracker/ aims to bring the art of burlesque back to its sexy, bawdy, hilarious roots. With a vastly talented cast, including members of the Babes in Boinkland, Can Can Revolution, Big Moves Boston, Ballet Lolita, and Mary Dolan Presents, among others, /The Slutcracker /will prove to be this season's most notorious, must-see, holiday production.

The story follows Clara, a virginal 20-something whose boyfriend Fritz becomes jealous of a special “toy” she receives for Christmas from an eccentric relative. Guided by a cast of new and intriguing friends, Clara embarks on a fantastic journey into her own sexual awakening that will leave the audience titillated, inspired, and amused. /The Slutcracker/ is an unprecedented celebration of sexuality that promises to be unlike anything Boston has ever seen.

The Slutcracker Burlesque will be performed at the Somerville Theatre on Friday, December 12 at 8 pm, Saturday December 13 at 8 pm, Matinee Sunday December 14 at 2 pm (Q&A with cast and director immediately following) and at 8 pm.
