Hiya Neighbors!

On March 26th, a 3 alarm fire gutted the Worcester Stone Soup building. http://www.telegram.com/article/20090327/NEWS/903270299/1003/NEWS03

Like Neighbors for Neighbors, Stone Soup is a vital community member housing and supporting a number of groups.

I've been in communication with Matt Fox of Stone Soup and offered personal assistance with re-building. I'd like to extend the invitation to all of Neighbors for Neighbors to come out with me Saturday April 4th at 1pm to support the re-building of community center. Contact me through NFN or at wetsci@gmail.com

There are a few ways you can help right now. On saturday April 4th, at 1pm, we are having a work day at Stone Soup to do cleanup. I see Neighbors for Neighbors is based in JP, so If you can't make it, thats understandable. We are also accepting donations to help rebuild through our website, http://www.stonesoupworcester.org/, or via snail mail at The Pleasant St. Neighborhood Center here at 301 Pleasant Street., Worcester, MA 01609. Checks can be made out to "Stone Soup," or if you need them to be tax deductable, they can be made out to Worcester Common Ground, our fiscal sponsor. I, and everyone at Stone Soup deeply appreciate you thinking of us and reaching out. This is an important time to make connections and alliances with our neighbors near and far. Thank you again, and I will keep you updated as things develop.
-Matt Fox"

See you soon!

This is great, Stacy! I'm doing some volunteering tomorrow - painting at a local martial arts school. With you in spirit! Maybe I'll be dry and clean in time to say hi at the dog park in the evening! Peace and keep on rockin! Juliet
