Absolutely correct, John. Thanks for pointing that out about tick sizes!

Ticks come in different sizes and color patterns as there are different species of ticks.

While often stated, it is true, the smallest ticks are the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Yup.......

Most town Board of Health have wonderful laminated cards that fit in a wallet that are tick identification cards. Here is an example borrowed from the site: www.… Continue

Ticks

First of all, ticks are everywhere. Including lawns. Tick denisties vary by region and impervious surfaces. Essex and Middlesex county are leaders in the state for tickage. In the woods, they are more commonly found in the thick leaf litter, especially oak. In lawn, well, the grass.

Ticks cause Lyme disease. In people and pets (such as dogs).

Warm weather such as the last few days will bring out skunks, oppossoms and even a few rabbits. The skunks and oppossums have been semi- hibernating. The warmth signals their bodies to start bringing their systems online- slowly. It was a long cold winter. Unfortunately, in the early stages,… Continue

ok, you friend now. I didn't get you to come to the williams st. cleanup. The franklin park coalition canceled but we went anyway. 15 people and no rain.

I'm still learning to use this social group. This comment thread seems to be the easiest way to chat. Although the friend connection put your comment directly into my email, I still had to log back to nfn to give a response.
See my wetland photo from fall. The brilliant color is poison ivy-good in small amounts. The large leaves are swamp dock.

hi - likewise, great to see you! i'm sorry that i didn't help with any of the heavy lifting last night, but i appreciate your rock star status as always. i've been trying to talk j into having a little sit-down for some nfn strategery - it would be great to do it with good nfn peeps over cocktails. i'll try to set it up - i don't think i've seen you since last year, it would be great to chat.
