Neighbors for Neighbors

Do stuff with and for your neighbors

What's up, sci-fi peeps! I have so many warm memories around reading funky sci-fi books that my dad had laying around the house (he always had some in the bathroom, too). One that is coming to mind is The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bestor (spelling). I always felt as if there was something more going on with sci-fi - great relationship building between characters and total play from what is "regular" and everyday about the reality I was/am experiencing. This is where I felt we could play with what could be, if we just tweaked our way of thinking a little bit.

Any fav books from your childhood or recent past come to mind?
