sorry to show my ignorance in this public forum, but what is mesh networking? does it mean everybody unlocks their wireless system so people can log on? does that create security problems for anyone, or slwo down the system? I have tons of questions but I support the idea!

Thanks for making wifi available at the Alchemist Lounge! Perhaps we should put together an informal list of open access points around the neighborhood... I know that there is free wifi at June Bug and Velouria in Hyde Square, and at JP Licks. Anywhere else? I wonder if the Main Street program have already compiled this...
