Do stuff with and for your neighbors

Billie Hockett was a mainstay of the Boston-area Celtic community. I had the pleasure of assisting her with several Music for Robin concerts she produced at the Emerson Umbrella in Concord and St. John's Methodist Church in Watertown. She was probably best known to many for her untiring work producing a weekly events listing (the 2/22/10 edition is viewable in the original blog, see link at end).

Billie passed November 7, 2011 but lives on in our hearts and music and, for some 350 of us, in Celtic Music in New England, created September 27, 2011 and, when she passed, was dedicated to her memory. I like to think when we share concert and other Celtic news we are carrying on collectively as Billie would expect.

An chuid eile i Síochána, Billie.
