COUNTERFEIT CLOTHING STORE RAIDED IN JAMAICA PLAIN
On Friday, March 5, 2010, at approximately 11:36am, Boston Police Detectives assigned out of Area E-13 (Jamaica Plain), executed a search warrant at the Super Mario Store, located at 3115 Washington Street, J.P.
Area E-13 (JP) Detective’s have been investigating this location for obtaining and selling counterfeit merchandise. After articulating the findings of their investigation, a search warrant was applied for and issued out of West Roxbury District Court.
Officers made a peaceful entry into the establishment and located two individuals in control of the business.
A search of the store resulted in the discovery, of what’s believed to be, counterfeit merchandise. The following items were located and seized.
Twenty-Seven (27) pairs of Gucci sneakers, Twenty-Nine (29) pairs of Timberland boots, One-Hundred-Forty-three (143) NFL & MBA jerseys, Three (3) bottles of Lacoste perfume, Fifty (50) pairs of True Religion jeans, Juicy Couture sweat suits, Fourteen (14) pairs of Chanel sunglasses, Forty-Eight (48) pairs of Lacoste shirts, Twenty-One (21) North Face jackets, Thirty-three (33) various hats, Twenty-One (21) Polo shirts, Fifty-Five pairs of Oakley glasses, Eight (8) pairs of Coach shoes. Several-Hundred-Dollars were also seized from the two parties organizing the illegal operation.
Officers also observed the establishment to be in sub-standard condition and called for the Boston Police Building Inspector and Electrical Inspector to respond. They are conducting their own independent investigation into the building’s condition.
Area E-13 (JP) Detectives continue to investigate this matter. Anyone with further information is urged to call Area E-13 Detectives at 617-343-5628.
Officers will be summonsing the two responsible parties to Roxbury District Court. They were identified as; Daniel Cabral, 42, of Roslindale and Mario Cabral, 51, of Jamaica Plain. They will be charged with the Crimes Against Property.
