Crazy!
Walking to work this morning, there was some madness on Boylston. I walked past a house that had a women hanging out the 2nd floor window to talk to 3 cops who where there. I heard a cop tell some fellow "Keep walking."
As I got nearer the T, I saw a Wonderbread Delivery truck stop and the worker take some stuff into the corner store (on Armory.) The fellow 'that kept walking' came and picked up the pay phone.
While I am crossing, one of the cops rolls down slow, watching Mr. Payphone - Mr. Payphone watching him. Its was ridiculously clear that he was pretending, so I stood on the opposite corner for a minute to watch. When the cops look out of range, he heads onto the bread truck. At this point, the cops are doing a u-turn in front of Stoney Brook.
Mr. Payphone comes off the truck with something white, looked like a box maybe, and the cops roll up. I am walking toward them to let them know, but they throw on their lights just as I yell, "He took something off the truck!" I have no idea if they heard me.
I watched for a moment as he darted up the street, and then got stopped by the cops. My guess is he tossed the stuff under a car.
Wild.
