Daniel Perez Lacera For 2009 Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council AT-LARGE

My name is Daniel Perez Lacera and I am seeking support in an effort to have my name appear on the ballot for the 2009 Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council AT-LARGE Election.

I live and work in Jamaica Plain, and my desire is to dedicate my time and energy to the continued success and development of the Jamaica Plain community. Even in my professional life I strive for community development not only within Jamaica Plain but also nationally as the National Operations Manager of a Jamaica Plain based non-profit homeownership advocacy organization.

The extraordinarily diverse population of this wonderful community has made me completely devoted to ensuring that Jamaica Plain continues to be a beacon of socio-economic justice in Massachusetts. It is for this reason that I, once again, ask that you would lend your support in an effort to allow me to run for Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council AT-LARGE. Help me keep our community a thriving success. Let’s work together to increase community involvement and awareness regarding important issues, whether it’s the level of safety in our parks and playgrounds, pushing to increase the city’s number of affordable housing, or the efficiency of our public transit system. In addition, I plan to use my position on the council to help advance the JPNC’s role as a liaison between the community and City government in the advocacy of our community.

In order to be on the ballot for this year’s 2009 Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Election, I need the signatures of at least 50 Jamaica Plain residents that are over the age of 16. This signature is not a vote, it simply gives me the opportunity to have my name appear on the ballot for this years election. I am asking for the assistance of my peers, friends and neighbors by forwarding this document to as many people as you can. Word of mouth is a powerful campaign tool which does not require you to be able to vote in this election (as many of you may not be JP residents), but helps to inform those who are or are connected to area residents.

I would greatly appreciate and welcome any skills, services or attributes that you would be willing to lend to my campaign.

Please feel free to email me at daniel.perez.lacera@gmail.com

Sincerely yours,

Daniel Perez Lacera
