The Boston City Council is taking to the community. Official Council meetings are traditionally held on Wednesdays mid-day. When he was elected President, Councilor Mike Ross pledged to bring a few of these meetings into the community, as a way of connecting the work of government more directly to residents. The first ever Council meeting in the community will be held on May 20 at 6:30 P.M. at English High School in Jamaica Plain. Prior to that meeting, there will be a “Town Hall Meeting” at English High, starting at 5pm, for a public discussion of issues before the Council and facing the City of Boston. We hope you'll join us.
