Neighbors for Neighbors

Do stuff with and for your neighbors

Beacon Hospice provides comfort and dignity to those with life-limiting illnesses.

A hospice volunteer offers companionship, support, a helping hand. No matter who you are, you have something to offer hospice patients. You can make a profound difference in a person's life whether it is a 15 minute visit, writing letters, playing music, or just sitting quietly, holding a patient's hand. Volunteers play an integral role in Beacon Hospice's team approach to care that focuses on comfort, dignity and peace for the patient and their family.

Volunteers must complete a comprehensive training program and receive on-going support. Our next training begins Thursday, March 1st 6-9pm in Charlestown. Additonal trainings/locations are available. We care for patients throughout the Greater Boston Area- Reading, Winchester, Woburn, Chelsea, Brookline, South Boston, Dorchester, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Quincy and everywhere in between.

For more information about this rewarding and life affirming experience please contact Megan Curtis, Volunteer Coordinator at 617-242-8370 or visit www.beaconhospice.com and click on "volunteer."
