Dear Neighbors:
As many of you know, the Neighbors for Neighbors JP (NFN) 4th annual Holiday Drive will come to a close this Saturday, December 20th.
During this season, we seek to help families in our community celebrate the holidays by purchasing toys and warm clothing to keep our littlest neighbors safe from the cold. This year, our project is to raise money to purchase gifts for children who attend JP's Kennedy School. We have also partnered with our local police to serve other local families.
Please donate now - http://www.neighborsforneighbors.org/group/holidaydrive.
Also, Be the first of 200 people to donate one unwrapped toy at Mike's Fitness on Saturday December 20ty and get a annual membership for life for just $299 - http://www.neighborsforneighbors.org/events
As in the past, NFN has partnered with local businesses by placing donation cans in their storefronts; However, the financial strain so many of us are facing have greatly impacted the success of this year's Holiday Drive. Not only have our donations thus far have been devastatingly low, some of our donation cans have even been stolen from their storefront locations – a sure sign of desperation.
Since the Holiday Drive concludes on Saturday, December 20th, NFN and the Holiday Drive Team have decided to reach out to the NFN network, as well as to our personal friends and families, to ask you to make a tax deductible contribution online. Please know that all gifts – regardless of size – will be deeply appreciated, and consider the following:
* $6.99 will buy a train set that will keep a 3 year old boy entertained endlessly (the author has witnessed this.) And $8 will buy his sister a doll she will adore.
* $10 will purchase a hat, scarf, and mittens that will keep 1 noggin, 1 nose, and 10 little fingers warm all winter.
* $25 will buy a jacket for one of our small neighbors.
* $50 will buy a cornucopia of books, art supplies, and hobby kits that will help our young friends cultivate their minds, skills, and interests.
If you are able to do so, we ask that you make a tax-deductible online donation on or before Saturday, December 20th at: http://www.neighborsforneighbors.org/group/holidaydrive.
We sincerely appreciate your support during the Holiday Drive, and wish you and your loved ones a happy, healthy, and prosperous holiday season.
Sincerely,
Joseph Porcelli, Executive Director and the NFN Holiday Drive team Kate A, Anne Marie B., Francesca G, and Elizabeth P.
