Puddingstone Studio News Spring 2009

Mardi Reed, artist and teacher, is teaching drawing and printmaking workshops at her home studio in Jamaica Plain. After a recent Saturday class in September, drawing in the garden, a participant said, "It was most inspirational and a day well spent. It triggered my creative self." Mardi offers small group activities and individual support in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere. Studio visits by appointment.

Workshop in "Drawing Through Insight"
Saturday April 25th 10:00 to 4:00
Drawing skills are not necessary to explore personal marks
Use drawing to develop insight and focus on life change
Combine spontaneous drawing with writing words
Begin to draw in a journal format $75 includes materials

Walk and Draw with Mardi at Franklin Park
Saturday May 16th 9:30 to 12:30
Explore and draw nature ant eh ruins in historic Olmstead parklands. $25 Bring sketchbook and drawing materials.

"Monhegan Island Experience"
October 6th and 7th 9:00 to 5:00
Walk and sketch in the morning and printing without a press each afternoon at the Curator Cottage Studio by the Sea. Monhegan Island is 20 miles off the coast of Maine and has 15 miles of hiking trails. Make reservations now and call for more information.
