Do stuff with and for your neighbors

Last night (11/3) Officers from the Gang Unit, E-13, along with Officers assigned to the Polls at English High arrested three suspects for robbing a 31 year old male of money and his IPOD. The incident took place in the area of John A. Anrew/Newbern. The suspect's ages were 15,16 and 17 and all are from Jamaica Plain. While at the booking desk a cell phone was found on one of the suspects and he denied ownership of it. The officers were able to locate an owner and he informed the officers that he had been robbed of it by three suspects around 6:20 pm on Cornwall Street. The 911 call for the first robbery came in at 6:42pm. It should be noted that earlier the suspects had made eye contact with officers that were staked out in the area, but obviously it did not deter them.

We're also coordinating the Neighborhood Watch Unit to pass our whistles at T-stops next Monday. Look for my blog and email about this in the next day or so.
