Neighbors for Neighbors

Do stuff with and for your neighbors

As Thanksgiving approaches, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for everything and anything you've done to help Teen Empowerment empower urban youth as agents of positive change.

Whether you supported TE financially, by volunteering your time, attending our events, advocating for youth services, or spreading the word about TE, your support helps makes our work possible.

With your support, Teen Empowerment employed 102 talented youth this year to organize strategies involving over 6,000 people in building peace, tolerance, and community. We are proud to count you as a partner in our efforts to save lives, bring hope to urban teens, and help young people use their talents to improve their inner-city neighborhoods.

On Sunday night, at our first youth and staff reunion, young people and some not so young people who have worked as Teen Empowerment Youth Organizers over the last 19 years came together to reconnect and affirm their support for our mission. There are now more than two thousand people who have worked with Teen Empowerment in their youth and continue to make positive contributions to their communities in so many different ways. I know that they are also grateful for Teen Empowerment and for whatever roles you've played in furthering our mission.

Teen Empowerment is working for a world in which youth, with adults in supportive and mutually respectful relationships, use their voices creatively to inspire, lead, and empower their communities to achieve justice and peace. On behalf of the youth, staff, and board of Teen Empowerment, thank you for joining us in working toward this important goal!

Warm regards,

Stanley Pollack
Executive Director
