FREE ELECTRONIC WASTER RECYCLING EVENTS

There are two free electronic waste recycling events for the general
public (April 26) AND for small businesses and non-profits (April 24 & 25) this weekend. This is a great opportunity to responsibly dispose of old computers, monitors, printers, fax machines and other electronic equipment for free at sites in Boston and Lexington. These events are open to all individuals and institutions, not just Boston or Lexington residents.

The opportunity is made possible through a partnership involving the Worcester-based recycling firm Metech International (an environmentally responsible e-waste recycler that does not ship e-waste overseas or to developing countries) and the computer maker Apple.

GENERAL PUBLIC:
On Saturday, April 26, the GENERAL PUBLIC can drop off electronic waste at Lexington High School and at the University of Massachusetts Boston (Parking Lot D at 100 Morrissey Blvd.). For more info and a list of accepted items, visit http://lexington.poweron.com/
or http://www.cityofboston.gov/publicworks/recycling/electronic_recycl....

SMALL BUSINESSES & NONPROFITS:
In Boston, city and town governments, as well as other government entities, nonprofits and small businesses, can dispose of electronic waste at West Roxbury High School (125 VFW Parkway) on April 24 and 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Electronic waste will be accepted in Lexington during the two days at Lexington High School (251 Waltham St.) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Municipalities and other institutional entities that plan to deliver electronic
waste on April 24 or 25 are asked to register online at http://boston.poweron.com/register
or http://lexington.poweron.com/register.

Thanks for taking the time to post and share this with everyone. I'll be taking advantage of this myself!
