With the rapid closing of the Hi-Lo market the City is making every effort to reach all employees who are losing their jobs. If you know an employee who worked there, please make sure they’ve heard about this important meeting.
The Mayor’s Office, partnering with the State, has organized a special meeting to assist Hi-Lo employees directly connect with a wide range of unemployment and reemployment services, including: registration for Unemployment Insurance; explanations of workers’ rights and benefits; information about health insurance; food stamps; EITC; fuel assistance; info about how to link up with training and education opportunities; and job placement services.
