The Boston Globe and JP Patch are reporting a woman was found dead on Kenny Street in Jamaica Plain this morning at 7:46 am.

Elaine Driscoll, police spokeswoman, said the woman appeared to have suffered head trauma and that the woman appeared to be in her 30s. The state medical examiner's office will conduct an autopsy.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family members.

Have the police received any additional information on this?  I know that the woman was in her 50s according to Fox News.  A co-worker of ours was the one that saw the woman's boot sticking out of the snow and called the police.  I cannot image what that would be like.  It makes me nervous to go walking the dog at night as so many streets are not well lit.

Apparently she actually suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head:

It sounds like she hasn't yet been identified; very sad and scary, indeed.

This is awful! A slip and fall perhaps? So very sad.
