I am posting this for a neighbor in JP who doesn't use computers.  She recently adopted a Dachshund/Lab mix named Maya (coloring black and brown - probably about 40 pounds or so) from Buddy Dog Rescue; Maya is a street dog from Puerto Rico.  Friday, the day after her new owner adopted Maya, Maya slipped her collar and ran away.  She has most recently been sited on Washington Street/Egleston Sq. near the McDonalds and Sovereign Bank. Maya is very skittish so if you see her, you could try to coax her to you with some smelly treats but please don't try to chase her as she will run away.  If you see her, you can contact her owner on her cell at 617-959-1878.
