Event Description
Join with your neighbors all through Boston to make your neighborhood shine! Boston Shines 365 is an initiative led by Mayor Menino to help keep our streets and city clean and involved in communities. I don't have specifics yet about where and when on Saturday April 25, but if you are interested, let me know and I will keep you updated as I get more information. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered and registered their projects online or via mail.
Tool pick up is at Curtis Hall and Mozart Park this year at 8:30 AM.
If you have not already registered with a group, we have some wonderful projects happening around Jamaica Plain. Some are listed below, please join and help out if you can! If you d like to work elsewhere, you can come down to Curtis Hall or Mozart Playground at 8:30 AM and we ll find you a volunteer opportunity.
Egleston Square Main Street:
Peace Garden at Washington and School streets, clean up and plantings around the Square
JP Centre South Main Street:
South Street Mall at South and Carolina Ave
Neighbors4Neighbors and Hyde Jackson Main Street:
Hyde Square Rotary at Day and Centre Street
and municipal parking lot across from Blessed Sacrament,
Meet at Mozart Park, Mozart and Centre streets
JP Neighborhood Council Parks and Open Spaces Committee Clean Up:
Meet at Curtis Hall, clean various JP playgrounds and green spaces

Just wanted to let you all know that we will be meeting this coming Saturday April 25 at 9:00. I will be picking up the rakes, etc. from Mozart St. and then heading over to June Bug to meet with you all. We will be cleaning the area immediately in front of Hyde Sq. back towards Day St. I will bring a map day of, but the area is about 3 streets wide. If you have any questions, please email me at panzerandballou@gmail.com.
