Meet Canzonare and their guests at afternoon tea following the program.
Tickets are available at the door: donation $15 ($10 seniors, students and JPTC members). Space is limited; reservations are suggested—call 617-524-3158 or email lghouseconcerts@aim.com.
En Barque is the soundtrack of J.S. Bach, Corelli, operatic excerpts, and Locatelli as found in Patrick O'Brian's seafaring Napoleonic Aubrey-Maturin series: "...although [Stephen Maturin] and Jack Aubrey were almost as unlike as men could be... they were united in a deep love of music, and many and many an evening had they played together, violin answering... or both singing together far into the night” [IOM:154].Canzonare will be joined by guest artists Joy Grimes, baroque violin, and Emma Gavenda, harpsichord.
The Loring-Greenough House is wheelchair accessible. For more information on the Loring-Greenough House, see www.loring-greenough.org.
