A Family Dinner is an intergenerational gathering of LGBT folks and allies that comes together to celebrate and to act. It is also a structural innovation in the LGBT movement that allows communities to respond quickly and strategically to emerging events, such as discriminatory ballot measures and hate crimes. TPP piloted this model in Asheville, NC, in 2004 and used it in six cities across the nation in 2008 to connect people to the Obama campaign and and the "No on Proposition 8" campaign.
